TERRITORY OVERVIEW

TideClan is a group of feral cats that live on a large Pacific Northwestern island. The island is predominantly pine forests with a thick fern and moss forest floor. It features a network of freshwater streams, rocky coastlines with tide pools, misty high elevation areas, and experiences winter snow. (See: Great Bear Rainforest, British Columbia, Coastal Washington). Prey items that can be found her vary depending on location. Tide pool foraging is very effective and yields crustaceans, octopi, fish, mollusks, etc. Mammals like squirrels and rodents can be found in the forest floor, and birds can be hunted in the undergrowth and trees. The rocky cliffsides are ideal for pillaging gull nests and snagging other waterfowl. The coast itself yields large fish for cats willing to swim.

SIGNIFICANT LOCATIONS

TideClan Camp

Their home base is a deep cavern at the base of a coastal cliff, overlooking the channel, called the Seacave. It has multiple chambers that house dens for respective ranks. The Seacave is highly secure and provides shelter from the weather and misty surf. The Standingstone is a large granite boulder standing at the epicenter of camp, where announcements will be delivered.

The Tide Pools

The Tide Pools are located in various locations along the coastline. They are formed when low tide leaves crevices in the stone filled with water, trapping fish, crustaceans, and other sea life.

The Moonchamber

The Moonchamber is a seacave on the beach with a cavernous skylight that frames the moon at its zenith. The walls of the Moonchamber are ornamented with stalactites and crystals. This is where TideClan cats come t communicate with StarClan.

Highcrest

Highcrest is the highest point on the island, and is snowcapped year round. Its slopes are slick and treacherous and reportedly home to bears.

The Cliffs

The Island coastline is bordered by jagged cliffs that descend to the treacherous surf below. The cliffs are perhaps the most dangerous geographical feature on the island.
